The big 4, or any manufacturer for that matter, can average all this information and get a good idea of what the public is going to read about when they come here, and I know they do because I have had friends ask me if I'VE ever heard of this place.

Who is the big four?  Gerber, Leatherman, SAK, 4th?

The new Gerber MP600ST (sight adjustment tool) looks great.    I need one for the range

SMKW has them in stock; it felt like a solid bit of kit; I'm impressed with how they did the true-3D Phillips and other quasi-outboard tools. :tu:

I did!!

Sadly I haven't had a chance to play with it much though. Overall build construction and fit & finish seems to be as good or perhaps even better than any Gerber I've ever handled. :salute: And that handle cut out allowing for the 3-D phillips......why didn't someone think of that a long time ago? :ahhh

If they made a civilian version by replacing the sight adjustment tool with a standard hex bit adapter, I'd get one.

Actually, since the sight adjustment tool is removable, I don't see why they don't start with a hex bit adapter, and put a hex shank on the removable sight adjustment tool. Best of both!

Cool tool - Is that a true MP 600 sibling or did they use a Diesel Frame (top rivets, blade and plier head look like a Diesel to me)

Good question- I consider it a true MP600 sibling since it is made in the USA.

It's definitely MP600, including the plier head. :salute: But good eye, they have indeed changed the handle pivot and lock release levers to somewhat resemble those of the diesel.

I was misled by the newly  designed needle nose head (my brothers older MP 600 has a simpler head design) and the details you mentioned. Any chance for a MP 600 / Diesel side by side shot?!

Here you go. In all cases, the Diesel is on the left, new MP600ST is center, and regular MP600 is on the right.

Notice the plier head on the new MP600ST is the same as the standard MP600, they just changed the handle pivot.

Looks like the MP600ST blade lock releases are just like the Diesel though:
