I tried to capture the color better, but I just can't do it justice.  Anyway, here are a few shots from Saturday.

Thanks for the kind words.  I'm really liking it!  This is the config I've had for a while now and it has been great for all of my needs.  I've only used the awl once, but it looks so useful.  :D  The rest have seen a fair amount of action with the phillips, cap lifter, and knife being the most used.  I call it the Inventor.  The new scales are holding up remarkably well to pocket wear.  I still haven't seen any areas where the anodizing has worn away, despite constant pocket carry since I put them on.  It's like Ferris Bueller said: "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up".

Glad they are working out well for you!  Like colored alox the color should stay I  the grooves for a lot time and Ti being tough should take a long time to wear down.  I'm going to start pocket carrying a super Tinker version to see how it holds up.

I don't do too much 93mm work any longer for cost reasons mostly.  To build a 93mm custom always takes more than 1 donor sak for springs tools etc... 91mm I can just convert as is.

Interestingly on this one the customer was willing to pay extra for a normal nick pair of scissors even though I used a pioneer x for the donor.  I also have to weaken the springs that come with those to use in modded knives as they are ridiculously strong when the pin through them is rigid and not bent like a stock x.  I really wish they had done a better job on the x model.

Those are both great looking knives there!  The tumbled liner is an interesting addition.

Despite the general lack of phillips on stock models, do most of your custom requests ask for a phillips?  I've always though it should be included on more factory models.

Super tinkers are requested at about a 9:1 ratio to climbers.  I have approx 500 brand new corkscrews here... I can't think of what to do with them other than make a large tribal necklace to show the number of SAKs slain in battle.  :D

That is quite the ratio!!  I wonder if you could sell them back to Victorinox in bulk.  "Hey, I'll trade you 500 corkscrews for 50 Super Tinkers" or some such thing.  Short of that, you could start making tires with corkscrews for studs.  Hah!  Or maybe pair the corkscrew with the fish scaler for a custom "Fish and Wine" compact tool.

Hey Syph, any elegant solution on the eyeglass screwdriver?
Can you add tweezers on the original  alox scales of the Pioneer?
I am dreaming of a Pioneer with scissors, pliers and tweezers, or an upgraded deluxe tinker with the eyeglass screwdriver and fully serrated main blade from the serrated Spartan ( weekender)

I havent been doing too many new models, just producing mostly standard stuff so I havent bothered to post it all.

The blue tiox super tinkers are very popular.  Here is one that went together this morning.

Slick
I know they make them small enough but I wonder if they make a compass thin enough to fit in rather the a mag glass?

Bummer, I think that would be cool to have a compass in the magnifying glass..

Syph, have you considered doing the corkscrew eyeglass screwdriver handle milled from a nice wood, but same design as the Vic one? Would seem like a simple and quite elegant solution, or is there a flaw in this idea (other than it would only work for SAKs with the corkscrew)?

Would look a damn site better than the Vic grey plastic one on your beautiful designs.

Or natural black rubber, maybe.

The difficulty with wood is that somewhere you are going to have a very narrow section with the grain running across it, which will likely be too weak.  Possible with lignum vitae or jarrah perhaps.

OKay... What other non-plastic materials would work well and be in-keeping with Syph's creations? I like the idea of retaining the corkscrew driver, but with a nicer material than grey plastic

Possibly T6?  I asked recently.  I can check my messages to see.

Yup, T6.

Thanks, useful to know for future reference. In fact just received a T6/T8 4mm bit for my Cybertool, along with some tiny hex ones (neither of which seem to fit my small Chris Reeve Sebenza 21, unfortunately).
