The Skinth BW (Builder Wrecker)
« on: January 26, 2012, 05:54:50 AM »
Another permutation of the Skinth series courtesy of EDCF member mcmc.

I present the prototype (needs a lot of revisions) of the The Skinth BW (Builder Wrecker).

I also want to introduce the Fetch Strap, a way to raise the tool from it's comfy confines. A 1" suspension strap that acts as a pull tab.

A modification of the Skinth left a 2" tab on the bottom which will be revised in MKII, it's intention was to be home to a small tape measure. It will changed to a larger loop for a hammer.

By shortening the front flap, a 1" strap could be added to the top to slide a tape measure into it.

This particular prototype is a small size Skinth OG so the proportions are a bit off. The intention was to incorporate two 1.5" loops on the backside so screwdrivers can be temporarily placed there. In hind sight, they should be right at the top so the handle doesn't hit the flashlight and Sharpie markers.

The next 2 I will make will be a refined version of small Skinth and a larger modified SkinthXL.

Stay tuned!

Hey Metro,

I'm having a hard time following the different models/threads.  Is there any chance of putting them in a tabular form or something or maybe put it up as a shop on EDFsource?  That way it would be easy to look through the models and compare (and get an idea of colors etc).

I find the multiple threads hard to follow as to what model has what. :-\

Yes , hard to keep up , you sure you aren't Manic (in a good way ) . Great work BTW , I like how you have addressed the issue of the tape measure . Something i have always found to be a PITA to carry .

I am trying to make a listing on EDCSource but I am having trouble deciding how to organize it.

I like the logo (except for the typo maybe). Excellent work as always!
I have several nice Victorinox SAKs listed on EDC Source :)

Rollover images, for comparison purposes would be great too.

Greetings! I am the mcmc mentioned in the first post!!

  Heh. Nice to finally have my name associated with something good lol!

I had a couple more add-ons suggested to Metro. We're still working on the proto for this =)  But wondering if anyone else likes this version?
