Years ago I watched a movie called "Surviving Edged Weapons" produced by Calibre Press, a company that produces media for police agencies.  I'll tell you, before anyone wants to try carrying a knife for defense, they should see this film.

Yea, all the morgue shots are are sad.

The parts I like best is when they show Leo T. Gaje handling a knife. You really get the contrast when you compare a master with some of the smurfbags on YT that know the moves, but look like they are fighting in the Special Olympics.
