Hello Mr. Lamontagne,

While I never heard back, I did e-mail you twice from the Multi-TooL.org website. I will contact you privately soon, thank you.

As for comparable tool prices, I have not seen another tool with nine distinct components for less than mine - please list such items. Box wrenches with various sizes are still one feature. I looked at many other items before pricing mine. Except for the large companies reviewed here, I thought that this would be where folks who made their own tools had discussions.

Well no there isn't another tool with the EXACT 9 features you list, but that's not really the point is it.  I would argue the Piranha could accomplish all those same tasks and more since it has metric and SAE wrenches.  I have one and like it quite a lot and it's half of the price of yours, nicely finished, and has no stabby protrusions.

There are others at this price point as well Im pretty sure.

Take some constructive criticism and refine your offering and approach, and I'm sure can develop your robot's tool :D  The immature side of me has to add, it's peculiar shape, and being called robot tool is pretty funny to me.

PM me if you are looking for custom alox work.

To Syph007,

I'm curious to see one-piece tools that you've made. The folks who now have my device tell me how much they love it.

To Syph007

Why is it so important for you and your buddies to shame me? Even to the point of telling me that my product looks silly to you. This is all typical jr.-high bullying behavior, and I'm neither impressed nor scared.

Syph007, please post your website so I can see your work.

I'm going to jump in here again.

MT.O is a group of extremely savvy tool users.  Many have modified existing commercial products and have come up with significantly better products.  Leatherman has even copied a product or three.  Members here tend to be very honest with opinions about tools and we've had a very good track record of working with small manufacturers.

Comments are made regarding tool features and aren't generally intended as personal attacks.

With that said, I'll offer my opinion.  The highly artistic Atwood tools are the only steel tools I know of that come in at that price point.  I use Atwoods and will say they are highly functional.  I share others opinions regarding this RoBoT-TooL.  The "saw tooth" pattern would be uncomfortable without a glove.  Flipping it around, I could imagine the "ears" jamming into my hand if I were opening a can.

I have made critical reviews of Atwood tools as well.  Particularly the Chigger, which doesn't open bottles very well and is too short to pry anything.  It isn't an attack on Peter, just a tool.

Perhaps we should all just take a moment to to calm down.  I'm going to lock this thread and we can continue the discussion when we have some things sorted out.
