Us UK peasants have to shorten the blade by a few mm if we want to EDC them  ;)

Its all in the interest of your own safety. Remember:

the Government allways knows best!
In the UK I allways had a locking folder on my key chain all the time, a gift bought for me from Halfords...
Never stabbed anybody with it, never felt the need to... though a couple of people were surprised I had it; not for any legal related reasons, they just did not see the point of carrying something dangerously pointy.

I can understand the third screw for a backspring; it'd make casting the scales cheaper, most likely.  I think I'll stick to either the plastic or wood scaled models, though, personally.

I like their Kiwi General Outdoors knife, though. :drool:
