the most useful multi-tool around the house is...

Kitchen shears!

Cuts through plastic packing, dresses up chickens, slices veggies, opens beer bottles, cuts plastic zip ties like butter, easy to clean, comes in a variety of colors, inexpensive, and is ALWAYS within in easy reach.

I don't know that going to the garage is much punishment?  It's quiet, beer is closer, I don't worry about what is shown on my computer screen, I have a bunch of multitools and knives on my desk....heck I am going to the garage now!

If I had my desk in my garage I would never leave it!  When we get in our new house up north, I will have a workshop downstairs AND a two car garage.  I will not be in the living room much.

That is why I love my basement mancave= Workshop, office with computer, cigars, whiskey,Stereo, some multitools and knives, AC, totally cut from the rest of the house

In my living room there is a "stationary" Swiss Tool, Pelican flashlight and a Swiss Card in my top drawer of the entertainment center.

In the kitchen there is a BSA SAK and a Cold Steel Canadian Belt Knife
hanging on the side of my cabinet.

As far as ManCave mine is the garage which is the vacuum of the house and gets ALL the stuff/crap thrown in.😔

I will have that when we move up north.  My inlaws are going to rent us their house and it's huge, basement workshop, game room, everything, plus a two car garage and 3 acres!
