Given 'flipper' knives are now illegal to import into Oz I have been looking at locally sourced flippers. My latest, purchased with birthday $, I said I would spend on clothes  ::) ::) :D, is a Kershaw Junk Yard Dog II  8) 8). I think I like it the best out of all my Kershaw flippers , Zing , Skyline & Turbulence(AO flipper). I thought the Junk dog might of been a little over the top   , it might be but I love it  :D :D :D

It is a big bugger , next to a Spirit & Spyderco Tenacious. It has the best flipper action out of all my Kershaw flippers , very smooth & FAST  :D :D

HAPPY Mat  :D :D

1st generation Microtech/Lightfoot L.C.C. Manual Action, made in December 2000.
While this is a production model, the build quality is comparable to a good custom knife.
Details are a precision ground pivot bushing with a "spring washer" around it which smoothens opening & closing action, a half round cutout in the blade tang where it touches the bladestop, and a ceramic ball detent.

Specs:

Length open: 21,0 cm
Length closed: 11,9 cm
Blade length: 9,0 cm
Blade thickness: 3,77 mm
Steel: 154CM
Hardness: 60 HRC
Handle material: Titanium bolsters/liners & carbon fiber
Locktype: linerlock (1,6 mm thick)
Weight: 168 gram
Edge done by me  :D

I got the Kershaw One Ton the other day. I had the Half Ton since before that i liked a lot for what it is.(cheap and small)
One Ton is bigger than I thought.
Let me know if somebody wants to know more about it.

Finally got my Spyderco Rock Lobster. I really like this knife, fits my pocket and my hand very well. I think the blade shape is very useful as well. Colour matches my zebralight H31 nicely too.

Stay multi my friends

My new cycling/swimming/running knife

Good choice :tu: I've been considering it for the exact same reasons, but can't justify the price+shipping it here at the moment. Maybe next summer.  :dd:
