Military standard issue tools
on: January 31, 2008, 02:48:58 AM
I wanted to post a topic about the tool issued to enlistees in my country, but I had no idea what tool it is, or if it's a custom-made one. But thanks to Benner in another thread, I found it. It's the SAK OHT, which after looking through Calvin's Giveaway thread, i know it's the One-hand trekker.

Excellent! Regretably, I never got one when I was drafted. It was only a few years ago that our army started to give out decent tools for soldiers. I got a jack knife that was rusty even before they issued it to me. Recently, they started even to give out SOGs to recruits.

Curious about other countries' army standard issue knives/tools. Anyone here had experience with it? I hope this doesn't infringe on any classified information. As far as Singapore is concerned, standard issue is pretty common knowledge.
