I was considering a new Gerber MP400 so I popped on Ebay and they want approx. $50 for one of these, WTF

I was thinking maybe $20..$25, but for that kind of money I can buy a lot of SAK

It's just a matter of timing; when I picked one up a year or so ago they were under $20 on clearance at a couple places. Several years before that I found MP600s on clearance for $10. I would not at all be surprised if it comes around again.

Amazon.com has them for $35 mate, maybe not quite as low as you were looking for but better than $50.
