Fishing is foodgathering and work, so you use a net or thingies I don't know what's called in English... (It's basically a tiny keel you attach to a line from a small boat, so when you row, this keel will move away from the boat you're in. On the line attaching this small keel, more lines with lures are attached, so you get a lot of hooks in the water at the same time. Can someone tell me what this is called in English? In Norwegian it's called "oter", like the animal otter.)
Fishing with a rod is for drinking beer, chatting about The Big Questions and hoping you won't catch anything.
Fishing as a sport, I've never really understood.
