This is what happens to everyone who dares challenge my dog:

It was a courageous toy. R.I.P.

This is our cat, Minerva. She was purchased from a shelter. The shelter had a special on adoption for animals over 1 year old. She's now about 2, and as you can see, takes her job of defending our home against all arthropod invaders very seriously. Or maybe she's asleep. Hard to tell.

I posted in another thread that I have allergies to cats, but I have tolerated her very well. Russian Blues (which is certainly what she appears to be) tend to not cause too much problems for folks with allergies.

Like all cats, she sleeps a lot, but she will get all excited by seeing a squirrel or bird outside, race around the house, and attack random toys. She LOVES chasing paper balls (you know, ya buy $50 worth of cat toys and her favorites are paper balls, and cardboard boxes). Of course, my hubby does 15 minutes of laser pointer time for her every night. And she really is an insanely devoted bug hunter. We had a huge spider problem in this house before we got her, but she loves hunting and eating them so much, we made a new word, 'asnacknids', to describe a fair portion of her diet. :D

nuphoria, Ruby looks incredibly friendly in these pictures. Good thing you are helping her do her part for improving the bad rep Staffys have many places.

She's more likely to lick you to death or knock you over with an over-wagging tail than anything :D

nuphoria,
WOW, in the second picture he/she (? :D) looks leopardish :D
Love the black dog's snout, too *in love* Ok, love the whole of him... lol.

His daddy was a big stray tabby and his mother a delicate grey oriental. He came out like a very long spotty/stripy silver tabby with the chatty mouth of a Siamese! Front to back paws stretched, he measures a metre :D

The little Jack Russell here:

(Jimmy Dean!) could run a full 15K at a 9:15 pace with no problem.  (Sadly, a Mothersmurfer ran over him last fall on our farm  >:()

Oh no, I liked that little guy the most.  :(

Me too. :(

He had been my running partner for almost 10 years.  Janene and I can still hardly talk about it.  Actually, we put in an automatic gate across the driveway.  That way people have to stop before continuing up to the house.

The damnest thing is, we had just had the driveway redone.  We thought we were making it easier for people (fewer potholes).  I would have never believed that people would consider it their personal freakin' speedway.  >:(

Charter member dogs :D :D

I've been tempted for ages to get a cat at home, too, but I'm not sure my dog will like the idea...
