Sorry for posting an old picture, but it's fearfully difficult to get my entire gang into a single frame.

Lovely gang there!  :) So many cats, only two hands.

I seem to remember you saying you had a kitty that was going to go live with somebody else, in the city, on a Friday. I might be wrong.

So I was both right and wrong at the same time

Being allergic to cats your house would be my worst nightmare   :ahhh

Nice looking gang though   :tu:

Thanks, Steve. Most of my wife's family is allergic, thus we don't get much company!
Seeing how many cats you have, I'm thinking that was your plan all along ;)

We have had a couple issues but nothing terrible

She wasn't allowed on the furniture at her last home so getting her in my lap was a big deal

Note the THINNING hair line. Not balding lol

And I keep having this issue while walking

She's a beautiful pup!

Once she realizes how comfortable the furniture is she'll have no problem adapting to using it!   Trust me on that one!

Great looking pup you got there NK.  She'll adjust soon enough and into the bed she'll go.  Mine has the run of the house and when he gets tired of walking he lays down till hes good and ready to move on HAHA.

Great dogs NK DMac and Steve!  :tu:

We were all set for our new dogs first fireworks night, with the calming spray, quiet corner etc but Bonnie didn't give a s#@t! Calm as you like, just spread out on the sofa to receive a smoothing (as they call it here in the South West).

That's great, Rosie is like that too. Fireworks and Thunder don't bother her a bit. My old dog Jasper would hide in the bathtub.

Do any of you dog owners have any tips for a vegetarian who has never been in a butchers shop?

We're starting Bonnie on a raw diet and have been buying supermarket meat for her as we're all vegetarians and have no idea what to ask for  and whether we can save money or not at the butchers.

We don't have much freezer space but will probably end up having to buy a dedicated freezer.

I have no problem handling and preparing meat but don't know my arse from my elbow when it comes to buying it.

Cheers all  :salute:

I had to put Rosie on anti seizure meds last week. A little background, She had her first seizure this time last year. She had two and then none for 9 months. Back in the beginning of the year she had another and then about every two weeks after that. Last week she had a cluster of eight in a little over 48 hours. She is on phenobarbital and is just starting to get used to the meds. She has been kind of out of it for the last week from the after effects of the seizures and the side effects of the meds. She is acting a little more like herself today and hopefully will continue to get better and not have any more seizures. She just turned six and will probably have to be on meds the rest of her life   :(

(Image removed from quote.)

Some background ^

Rosie had a seizure last night. This is the first in 6 months since I put her on Phenobarbital. She had been doing so well it was quite a shock. She's doing good so far today and I just talked to my Vet. He wants to keep her at the same dose unless she has any more in the next week or so.

Anyone else have a dog that has seizures ?

A girl I dated in high school had a dog that suffered seizures.  It was horrible, but the dog didn't seem to mind much.  More often than not the dog came around to someone calmly rubbing her belly and she seemed to appreciate that.

As for what to get from a butcher, when my dogs get fresh meat it is usually lean ground beef or skinless, boneless chicken, although they only get that on special occasions or if they aren't felling well, often mixed with plain rice.

Oh wow, idk how I missed this post? I hope she's doing good, we had a dog that was the complete opposite, he had a six sense, he could actually know if I was going to have a seizure. One day I came home from work and I just didn't feel right, so the wife sat me down in my fav chair and he kicked the wife out of the way, he pined my arms down and kept licking me in the face to keep my attention, the wife ran to check my Rx(one being pheno), and come to find out I missed my dose. Well I took them and he staid on me for the next 30min. The Rx kicked in and he let me up and I was fine, with a very clean yet slobbery face,, other times he'd come to my side of the bed and keep his head on my chest, giving the wife a heads up cause I don't know when I'm going to have one. He did his duties, and he was adopted, unlike these special trained dog that go for 20k, he got dropped off at my doorstep for free. Hope Rosie's doing good, keep us up to date!
