LM Skeletool cxXL
on: April 24, 2012, 06:13:02 PM
It's been a long time in the works and not really polished just yet but I figure if it's good enough for EDC it's god enough to show.

A big shout out to the members that helped source parts and as others have said... I blame you all!

My original plan was a MUT version of the Skeletool (hammer, belt cutter, long bits) but that evolved, here's what I ended up with:
Pliers
154cm straight blade
Serrated blade with gut hook (LM Charge)
Scissors (LM Surge)
Long bit in holder (LM MUT)
micro bit in handle, locked in with 'biner clip (LM Surge)

6.5oz and about 1/3 thicker than original

I like how you incorporated the 2nd oho locking blade, as well as storage of the long bit.

The pictures need to be shared. I tried to copy the URL link to the web but it says locked.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

I guess I haven't figured out dropbox, the 4 links at the bottom of the first post work tho.
I'll get this right when I get home from this nightshift

Wow that is pretty awesome! I really hope LM does something else on the MUT chassis. I would buy one of these in a heartbeat.

Stay multi my friends

That's a great mod mate! Now, replace the carabiner with the MUT hammer and the pliers head with those on the MUT/ST300 and you have a total winner! :tu:

Well I've got a Surge plier head and it's tempting but prolly impossible.
A hammer/pry will happen at some point for sure, I'm just gonna carry it for a while tho. It's been in a half finished semi-modded state for so long I just wanna enjoy/use it.
