Mods, if I've posted this in the wrong forum please move as needed. I just received a phone call from a personal friend "tattoosteve" who was checking on me. I haven't posted for awhile and he was concerned. Receently a fellow K9 officer was tragically killed while on duty but his dog survived. I have been dealing with that and while this is not my first loss in this profession, I am not dealing with it too well.
At any rate, I just wanted to say that it is truly an honor to be associated with a forum comprised of people who care enough to call and sincerely check on you. Steve and MultiMat, thank you, and you both know what for. I'll get it together as soon as I can.
For now, Rest in peace my friend Officer Brian Hayden and to your partner "Sampson", continue the mission with your new handler. It's what Brian would want you to do and Ajo and I will be there every step of the way on this new journey.

I'm glad you stopped in, and I'm sorry to hear what happened.  Hang in there man- Brian and Sampson wouldn't want you dwelling on it.  Celebrate what Brian did, and honor his memory by getting back out there and being strong.  You have a whole forum of guys to back you up.

I am deeply sorry for your loss, and sad that you are not dealing with it well.
Are you getting some help?
Losing an officer in the line of duty is tragic.
Although I did not know Officer Brian Hayden or his partner, I wish to extend my deepest thanks for their work in a dangerous job to protect public safety.
I also want to thank you Stew and Ajo for continuing to keep the rest of us safe from harm.
Hopefully, you will be feeling better soon.  My message of concern may not be the best, but it comes from the heart.
