Mark Twain called this sculpture “the mostmournful and moving piece of stone in the world.”
The company that did that offers 50 or 60 other handles also. I've managed to pick up a couple, but have never found a mail-order source for them. SwissBianco at one time was trying to work a deal with them but it fell through.Karl

I have the same knife and have to admit when I saw it in the shop I was expecting it to be a bit of a tourist piece ( which it is ) but the scales are very well done and really add something to the knife. You see them in most of the gift shops in Switzerland with loads of different scales .... but the lion is great ..... damn sad but great
