Bit of a random question, but does any one know of replacement inserts,or upgrade inserts for Ziplights/to fit Zippo cases?

There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

Well I got it from a friend and it was non functioning. So after I took it apart, all of the terminals were corroded. Did some cleaning and found a battery replacement. Funny size battery AAAA. But you tube to the rescue. A 9volt battery has 6 of these in it. So I took 2 and played around with the polarity until....it lit up! Only one more little thing to do to have it working properly like it came from the factory. The tiny reflector was broke off :(. Also this model was adjustable as the reflector moves up and down to adjust the beam. Now I have to find one and mod it so that it works with the screw mechanism. After that I may upgrade to a led to get better and more light. Pics soon!
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Ok I had a few parts lying around so I thought I would try a upgrade to a led. This holder : http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062559#

Is a perfect thread match. So what I will do is get a white led within the range of 2-5 volts and grind some off the bottom of the holder so it sits correctly. Then I will have a pocket carry friendly zip light with a upgraded led instead of an Incan :)

Just had a brain wave...I reckon you could strip a Fauxton and bodge it into a Zippo insert

And here ya go

Using the piece listed above and a 5mm led. I ground the metal holder down until it fit. Then with my dremel carefully enlarged the hole to fit metal holder. Cut the ends of the led until it fit, and there we have a led zip light. I'm happy with it and its going in my edc bag if I can just stop playing with it ;). It's fun when someone asks for a light

And a special thanks to Rex for hooking me up :tu:
