These are not out yet, but the latest issue of machine design had an interesting article on an upcoming set of high end trauma shears that are multi-functional.

Neat!

I've always wanted to make a pair of beefy shears fold into a MT handle...but I think this is much cooler.

I also like that they show the ACTUAL rapidprototype prototype!

$20-$60 for a medical use devise  :o :o :o , no way  :P :D I am thinking $150+  :think: :P :D.

Looks kinda chunky  :think: I wonder how big they actually are & would you want them flapping around on your belt  :think: :think:.

Really interesting tool , I would be keen to hear how they go in the real world  :think: :think:.Cutting kevlar would be tricky I would of thought  :think: :think:
