sending in a broken old recoil..

will they fix it or send me a new tool? if a new tool what would you think it could be? ??? ???

What's wrong with your recoil? There's a good chance a collector here might trade you a new model for an exciting piece of Gerber history like that!

As for what you'd get back, I'd think a Flik or Diesel most likely but that's just a guess.

well my recoil lost the lil lock for the pliers. they wont close anymore. its in real bad shape. rust,chips and a few burns. im a 3a driver, and im hard on my tools. used it one time to jump a starter on a peterbuilt.  so of the diesel and flik which woul you perfer and why?

I like the Flik but a lot of guys here don't.  The Diesel is a bit more of a straightforward tool with a less complicated lock mechanism.  It's basically the China made version of the awesome MP600 series, but don't let the China label fool you- it's a good quality, tough piece.
