Ok, my LED Solitaire arrived   It's the silver one. I'm very happy with it, so far looks really bright and floody in a dark-bathroom-check :D Can't wait for the nightfall.

Extremely cool collection. :dd:

I know most of them but the one between the Thrunite Saber A1 and the SS headed Peak Eiger with momentary switch has me scratching my head.

What is that? Reminds me of the Lumintop Worm but with a tail switch.
thank you all gentlemen sorry for late reply.
That is the Prometheus light beta QR . It has quick release keychain at then end of the handle.

I've seen these flashlights often on dealextreme and other places... one like this was given to me by a friend.

I tried its clip on my Fenix E01 and so far it seems to work well :D

Yes it is. The C4 is putting out 35 lumens instead of 28 and has the S-Clip so you can clip it to a hat bill and use it as a headlamp. You can also clip it to other things as well. Comes with a break away neck lanyard as well.

I was not immediately impressed when I received it yesterday, but after playing with it last night it is starting to grow on me quickly. Only time will tell but I will probably do a mini review after a week or so.  :tu:

I think it's terribly big for a light that's only 35 lumens...

I can see where your coming from about that, but the size isn't a issue for me. I can take a comparison shot next to something if you like. It looks as if its just under double the length of the LED Lenser K2 though.

Some incandescent lights were pretty huge and produced less than 35Lm and a few years ago most people though they were great (some still do)  :D

I'd like to see a comparison shot. I love the K2 Lenser. :tu:

I honestly don't see much difference in brightness compared to the K2.

Wow, that's much smaller than it looks by itself, I take back what I said about it. It's now on my list.

Thanks Cap'n.

Peak LED Solutions Eigers.

#8 HA cool white medium, 2xAAA body w/momentary
#4 SS cool white narrow, keychain body w/momentary & Dark Sucks Ti clip
#4 HA high CRI medium, pocket body
#4 SS cool white medium, lug body

* all bodies are non-QTC, which I prefer

The small #4 mediums with pocket or lug bodies are probably the most useful lights in my collection.  Clip one of these to the brim of a cap for a perfect, floody headlamp.  Runtime on the #4 power is 6-7 hours on NiMH or alkaline, 3-4 hours on Li-Ion with increased output.  The #8 runs for about 1 hour on 2xAAA NiMH.

Thanks fellas.  In today's world of high-tech, multi-mode wiz-bang LED flashlights, it's easy to forget about simple, reliable, well-made lights like these.  Use them a couple of times though, and you'll quickly remember that they're really all you need for most daily tasks.

You wouldn't happen to have any extra Eiger heads lying around? ;)

Actually, I do have an extra #8 SS Eiger head lying around, but the emitter is half-burnt out.  I ran it on 10440 too long and it was scorching hot.  :bnghd:

I had two extra bodies lying around a couple of weeks ago, and sent Robyn at Peak an email to fix that problem.  I just received the #4 high CRI and the #4 cool narrow heads shown above in the mail yesterday.

I'm always impressed by their customer service.  I mentioned to her when I ordered that I had a Logan with a QTC pill that was no longer working correctly.  I mailed it to her, and they upgraded the QTC for free and shipped it back with the new heads just a few days later.

Sorry to hear about the #8.

I have a Matterhorn I'd like to switch the head on for something more EDCable. It's good with a bit of QTC at the bottom of the tube for extra long runtimes on super low, but that's about it. If you find one cheap, let me know. :salute:

Yeah, the older #8s with the Rebel emitters evidently got hot quickly @ 4.2 volts...  I keep the #8 XP-G on the 2xAAA body so I don't try anything like that again.

I'll let you know if I see anything.  Just FYI...  New HA Eiger heads are $25 direct from Peak, and SS ones are $30.  I'm guessing brass is $30 also.  If you decided to go that route, I could help out with shipping...
