Just one?  Forget it.

That's like eating just one potato chip.  It wasn't meant to be done! .  There is no one perfect light.  I don't suppose there ever will be.  What's great for lighting up a keyhole, is utterly useless for lighting up the street.  It's just like hand tools.  Every tool has its purpose, and should be treated accordingly.  You wouldn't think to use a file, as a claw hammer - or a screwdriver, as a lug wrench, right?  Same thing with flashlights.  Different lighting needs require different lighting instruments.  You could use just one, but why, when you have dozens to choose from, and a willingness to carry some of them, so they're readily available, wherever you go?

Besides, as the mantra goes, Two is one; one is none.  If you only carry one, and that one fails (for whatever reason), you're pretty much screwed.

Additionally, I like having different tint choices at my disposal, so that precludes the possibility of EDCing just one light. It kind of complicates things, weight-wise, but I don't care.  I like having options (as any true flashaholic would).

Wait...were you talking about on-person EDC, or on-person, and bag-carried?  Those are two very different categories lol.

I'll be posting what I EDC with detailed pictures and comments, probably later today.  I usually EDC five lights or more, on person (Used to be ten, but that was just ridiculous...my cargo pockets and belt were all weighed down lol, so I pared things down to five (give or take). When I travel, it's all the more, and things get really interesting with TSA, since I have to carry all lithium ion batteries in my carry-on; but not the end of the world.  It's worth the extra screening time.

Now that I EDC a bag (to work, anyway), this makes things easier (although, truth be told, I still prefer carrying as many on-person, as possible.

It's an AWESOME light

Only its coating isn't really great i.e. it'll scratch & wear out a lot faster than, say, Fenix. You'd better take more pics of it while it's still brand new

Otherwise, it's one of the best AAAs I've ever tried.

I was inspired by maba's pictures to carry my Lumintop a little again

That's how it looks after about 14 months. I've used it really a lot. I think it's been my fave AAA light. I couldn't even love my newer Fenix LD02 more than this one.

New Olight I3E

This thread is slow moving.There are some good lights displayed here though.

Here are two AA powered lights I just received.

The top light is a Malkoff devices MDC with a three mode switch which allows 3,25,250 lumens.

The second light is Surefire E2L AA Outdoorsman and this has a two mode switch that allows 5 & 125 lumens with 100 and 8.5 hours of runtime respectively.
