Very Nice. Ive been goin nuts on your site trying to choose a skinth. This is simple and sharp. the snaps are great and sure beat the noise of velcro.

Just ordered one of these as my first Skinth.

One of the reason that Velcro is used so often is because metal snaps (and that blashed Victorinox emblem) scratch up furniture.  I think it would be nice if a thin piece of material was sewn over the heads of the snaps.

I didn't have time to see which other one might really work well for me, and I had forgotten which one I had figured on in the past or I would have ordered a couple. I'll be back I'm sure for a little gadget pouch.

I just received mine. As i hoped (and assumed) the craftmanship and material is very good.
Now i blame you that i´m already browsing the net for something small to stuff beside my spirit...

I could just put in one of my upgraded LED Mag solitaires or a short pen. and i think I´ll need a shorter Mini Prybar, as teh one i have suits my MP 600´s sheath perfectly and isn´t going anywhere...

I received my M-Shield the other day and immediately replaced my Vic Spirit sheath with it to test it out.  It's a little bigger than required for the Vic Spirit, but not overly so since these sheaths are lean you're not paying a huge penalty for a generic size/fit.

I really like the look of the Sheath, classy and stealth (I got black).  The dual snap is a nice design that gives it different look that I quite like.

I'm not a big fan of clips since I hate to reach for my multitool to find out it's not there; usually with clips I would find it on the car seat later.  I'm hoping these ones will prove relaiable as it is convient to have a clip.  The clips do seem pretty good, they are almost the same (little shorter) as on some of my sheaths from Ripoff. However, the safety stop is not on the inside of the clip, but below where the clip closes and is covered with a layer of nylon.  I would say they are not as secure as the Ripoff clips which have to be the most secure tested clips going.

I really like the simple design of the Shield Series.  They are made of heavy Nylon, but without the coating of say a Maxpedition pouch.  It looks like it will stand up well, but then my Vic pouch was doing OK for me as well, with a little lighter treatment to seal the loose threads.

Overall I really like the concept behind the Skinth sheaths.  Now I'll look at one of the large pouches for a gadget pouch, or the ideal P&S camera pouch.

I've been clipping mine to the inside waistband of my pants (while wearing and belt). I've never once had it fall off, or even noticed it's there. I am super pleased with how these are working out and even more so, I just fiddled with the S-Shield and the thinner tools (like vintage PST, Old wave, New Wave, REBAR! and Fuse) will fit PERFECTLY.

Glad it's meeting your needs ICan!

I've had a Skinth (BIG THANKS again, Metro) since February 10th, have carried it every day since I got it clipped to my belt or just the inside of trousers and the clip is as strong as the first day, almost too strong. :) Trust me, this thing isn't going anywhere.

I guess a Spirit will be a hair to fat to fit into an "S" shield?!

The S-Shield will also fit most SLIM 4? multitools (Leatherman Original Wave, New Wave, Fuse, Kick, PST, PSTII Wingman and Sidekick)

The Spirit, being slimmer than the New Wave, should fit just fine, if not with some wiggle too...

So i guess i should have waited until the whole shield gang was ready to be ordered... The M, while being a very good sheath is a bit big for my spirit yet a bit short for my Gerber MP 600 - But i guess I´ll take the usual way around here to solve the problem - Order a smaller one for teh Spirit and a bigger one for the 600 sooner or later.

It's too tall. 4.25". Width wise it's not bad. Just too tall.

Pair a pen in it or something in the front. The 2" nylon was a perfect fit for it.

Hmmm, 4.13'' actually. Eric have you tried fitting a Spirit in there? If the S can accommodate the wider New Wave, I think it should easily also fit the slimmer but somewhat taller Spirit... :-\

i just tried and no dice.

The new Wave is a REALLY tight fit. If I adjusted the pattern to fit a Wave, the SAKs would be too loose. The SAK is a little lose already.

I just got a 20 Anni Black Wave and it's also a very tight fit...the New Wave is actually thinner (but wider) than the old wave.

Oh well, it was worth a shot. So the best bet is an M, plus it gives you reason to buy more toys to fit in it. Nawt wrong with that. :tu: :D

Mine is no longer on my belt, it was just a bit too visible attracted more attention than the Vic sheath, I'm not sure why, the black is a bit more gloss maybe and it is slightly larger and looks cool with the snaps.  I don't want it noticed so... new plan...

HOWEVER; I'm still using it, I'm in the process of reworking my EDC bag as I really liked using the Noatak and decided to try and see if it could replace my Sitka for EDC office duty as well.  2-days in new roll and it is working well.

I've never really been a belt sheath person, but the Spirit is so awesome I can't leave home without it.... so right now my Skinth is attached to the outside of my Noatak with my Spirit.  Having the clip is convient because it make is very quick to transfer from the pack to my belt as needed.  Pictures later in another thread of my Noatak/Pouch setup for EDC.
