I hope it's not the same leather they've been using on the new leather sheaths...if so it's made from bologna ;)

Looks like a refurbished bucket sheath design. Junk by the looks of it, the side pockets should hold 75% or 85% of the tool's length. Anything short of 60% the tool's weight will wobble & become too loose.

I should have it in a couple of days and I will post a brief review.  I suspect that that it is no better than the new Wave sheath.

Well my package showed up today with an older version of sheath.  I contacted the seller and well .  So I turned around and ordered one from Leatherman and we shall wait and see.

Bait and Switch is illegal. Might want to remind that to the seller and tell them you want the sheath you ordered shipped out at no charge to you, and a pre-paid envelope to send the incorrect version back. If they refuse, could always mention that you would file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and they have hefty fines for fraud.

Well the new Surge Sheath arrived today from Leatherman.  It fits the Surge perfectly and the Super Tool 300.  There is a slop in the sheath for the extra surge file and saw blade.  There is also two side pockets as well.  The construction is not what I would call top notch, although it appears that it will take the require abuse that it will see.
