Where did your user name come from?

No particular meaning behind my username, other than my name being Dan. I came up with when a joined BF a couple years back, and I've stuck with it for the sake of consistency.

Well, mine originated from my brother.

  I was researching a particular handgun,(hint, the guy in my avatar used it, ) but I had to find one that could shoot a 2" group at 100 yards. (From a bench rest, on a good day, with match grade ammo....etc. )

My brother said I was Nuts to expect to find one capable of that kind of Accuracy. At least from a production gun.

Maybe I was, but somebody else was even nuttier.....they actually built it.

Now if I could only afford one.

Hmm...looks like I may have been off the forums on a self quest for tranquility when this thread was made.

Guess I can participate now that I know this thread exists.

My handle came from one of the main characters in a French children's book I read when I was very young. The name stuck with me, but the title hasn't...go figure. When I first went online in the early 90s, I used it as my nome de guerre. Unlike many others who like to change their name, I have stuck with it consistently throught my online interactions. Even most of my online gaming characters have Chako in their names.

The really odd thing is "klamerus" is a fairly recent last name. I think we are up to 14 generations in the states. Yet SOMEHOW there is another "Nathan Klamerus" in Michigan.........and we both drive chevys and both have a lab.......

Two guys who drive chevy's huh?  It's not shocking that two guys have common sense, I'd still have my chevy if I hadn't stepped down from my Manangement role to move back to Texas.  Chevy's rule!
