Anyone tried one of these?
Looks like an interesting design and the first pic shows it with a Gerber MT. 8)

Nice idea if it is easy to both remove and put away your MT easily. :tu:

My roommate has a couple of the rifle version. They can be quirky sometimes. I've used a lot of Gene's gear in the past, I'd say that the classical pistol mag pounce (yes, the one with both a SRB and velcro) is one of the better multitool carriers I've ever owned. I carried my Supertool and a Surefire in one for many years before I moved my multi off my belt and into my bag.

I'm thinking of trying the piggyback version , ( pistol mag atop rifle mag ) . I'm thinking about using it for tool carry , no firearms use . A Buddy in the Canadian Forces , has gone over to them as his "go to " pouch .

I can see how getting things out easily is a win, but they look a little clumsy for putting things in.

Anyone got experience with that?

The couple I've handled insertion was not a problem , and retention is good ( the most important part ) . My buddy in the forces showed me his belt and chest rig , all kinds of stuff stashed - no flaps , but in truth flaps don't protect against much .
