MT.O Prybar Pass-Around
on: November 21, 2012, 05:40:00 PM
As promised i'm starting a pass-around for the recently created MT.O Prybar tool along with my own Prybar design. Both tools were 3D printed by shapeways in stainless steel.

Interested? Well if you are then please sign up and you'll hopefully get a chance to put these tools through their paces.

A few rules (original text stolen fron Zack, sorry)
1) Open to ALL members, however if you are new (under 20 posts) then please introduce yourself.
2) No torture testing, and definitely no hammers. However if either tool does break or fail then pictures and an explanation of what happened would be appreciated.
3) Shipping needs to have delivery confirmation (can be first class or priority).
4a) Hopefully these tools will be going all over the world, so people need to be comfortable about potentially having to post them abroad.
4b) To simlify things i plan to group people in each country together as this should reduce shipping costs. We'll start with the UK then see how it plays out. I've decided on an almost fair way of organising it.
5) I would, believe it or not, like these tools back at the end of all this so if your last on the list do please keep that in mind.

So after all that if you are still interested please COPY AND PASTE ALL PREVIOUS NAMES AND INFO along with your own name and country into your post.
I'll close this after 2 weeks...ish, and we'll go from there.
Pictures of most of my work can be found on my Facebook Page.

Alright i'll sweeten the deal.
After the pass-around i'll run a give-away for the two tools, to be given away seperately, open to all those who are involved in the pass-around.
So if you want a chance to win either of these tools sign-up now for the pass-around.

(you can't win them both)

I've just posted the tools off so hopefully Sparky should receive them before christmas (no leaving the parcel under the tree).
I don't really know what a sensible length of test duration is, one week? maybe 2? I suppose it's rather out of my hands in any case.

Right more rules:
1. I want piccies of it in interesting places........erm...... with scenery and being used and stuff like that.
2. I sent the tools out in an old tobacco tin which i tarted up on the inside, what i want you all to do is tart it up on the outside with some stickers. They don't have to be relevant to the area, though that would be nice, just anything to show that it's been around and about (if you really can't find anything, grab an airmail sticker from the post office when you send it on.
Happy travels old beat-up tin.
