I used my Cadet to slice open my finger last night while I was boring a hole into a notepad.

That's exactly why the Pioneer is duh king :D

Working fast and lacking a regular pen, I used the pen out of my Swiss Champ to mark the position/orientation of my Dad's replacement Statlock  anchor.

Never liked the Plus scales...till I started actually using them.

Picked up some cream soda for a change. Turned out to have the old style crimped-on cap. So out came the Traveler and off came the cap.

Used Minichamp to adjust door lock from the bathroom door. First tried Explorer, but drivers were too big. Was almost on my way to get proper tools, but remembered that I had it in my pocket.

So I'm a girl, and not a very handy one. SAKs to me are mostly for grooming and food. Today I actually used em to fix stuff!

Just got a faux-Telecaster guitar, only a week old. The output jack was a bit loose, a common problem with these suckers. Youtubed how to fix it. You have to unscrew the knobs and unveil the innards of the guitar, something I've never done before. Trusty Explorer and Manager came to the rescue (ended up unscrewing things that didn't need to be unscrewed, oops). Used the Gerber Dime's pliers on the nut. Rescrewed it all. Plug the lead back in....uh oh, no sound. Repeat the process. Turns out during my fiddling I'd accidentally loosened one of the wires connecting to the jack. Panic. Consider taking it to the shop for a dude to fix. Deep breaths. Figured out which bit was meant to connect to which, screwed the right screws into the right holes eventually, and lo, music!

One small step for mankind!

Used my Spirit butter blade to open a tin of biscuits given to me at work for fixing someones cistern (I said 'no need' but I didn't want to offend their kind thought )

Used the philips to mend someone elses toilet seat (what is it with toilets this week?)

Used the pliers to pry nails (yes nails) out of an axe handle to free the head to clean it.

I like days like this

Love it! I got the Squier Classic Vibe 50s Tele which has a cult following in the tele-head forums.

At one point I counted 6 multitools in my bag ;) Swisscard in the wallet, Manager on the keys, Compact with my pen/torch combo, Dime, Explorer because I forgot to take it out, and I think there's a Leatherman Squirt floating around there somewhere as well. How did I use them today? Tweezed some hairs :D

Many of us carry some tools we use regularly, as well as other tools we have "just in case".  You're in good company here.

That's how I've always felt. Whatever I carry is for "just in case" and I'm sure that applies to 99% of everyone on this forum.

Up until recently when I "rediscovered" SAK's I felt that my One Knife to Rule them All was the flavor of the month single blade folder that was clipped to my pocket. Now that I've seen the light I realized that the almighty tool is a SAK  (and sometimes Leatherman)

Also to add I used the pen in my Compact last night to sign for my chinese delivery since the pen the driver had went dry. Needless to say i more than excited to use it and the delivery driver said it was an awesome Swiss Army knife. Maybe that moment will persuade 'em to also pick up a SAK.

I actually had to use the pen in my Rogueneer yesterday as well.  I was gathering meter reads from some of our photocopiers here at work.  I have a tacpen on me normally at work as my normal pen for these types of tasks.  I finished on the first floor, and then had a package to open, so I set the pen down on a stand and opened the package.  I forgot the pen there, and went upstairs to continue the meter reading.  I reached for my pen and realized I didn't have it, then thought of the SAK pen and took that out to write down the info.  Yet another reason I like the plus scales, even if it is a rare occurrence when I use the pen.
