I usually use one of my Leatherman's for this.

Helps keep them in check.

Opened some packages today quickly with my climber.
Removed a splinter from my thumb with it too. Useful little thing.

I took a block of plastic and filed one end down to make a wedge to use at work.

Scissors in my Compact, vs ear hair.

Took care of teh ear hair. Considering I was doing this AFTER both politely and impolitely suggesting to a collegue that his inane babble wasn't needed in my cube. Personal grooming didn't give him the hint either.

Used the cap lifter on my Climber to loosen a little stone from my shoe some days ago. Do you know how iretating this stone-on-stone 'click' sound every second step can be?

Used the awl on my Harvester to puncture a microwavable dish packet. It said "puncture with fork" but the fork just bounced off. So I got the job done effortlessly instead of spraying cale all over the kitchen (Which would have happened, had I pressed down harder with the fork - I know my luck!).

Someone got a care package and left it in the break room today.

All we had to cut the food was a broken plastic knife.

No worries, lightless CT-Lite to the rescue.

I had to go to a junkyard yesterday to find a door handle for our old Chrysler car. It's the kind of junkyard where you go find and pull the parts off yourself. I'm really glad I brought my Super Tinker with me, because I had to cut this door handle out of the thick plastic door panel. I miss the days when cars were made of sturdy metal and everything was put together with real hardware.

Had to tune up my dad's Schwinn Homegrown so I decided to use the Tinker for anything I could. A few screw turns and such, but the real work was for the blade and awl. My dad had the frame painted Dodge Charger red the first year they reintroduced them, so he's a bit more protective of the paint than a normal mountain biker... So he wanted me to make him a downtube protector like I put on my rig.

Tinker did a lot of rubber slicing, and the awl was put to work making the holes to feed zip ties through to keep everything in place.
I'm a total legend..... in my own mind- Herley

Amici,
Whenever I carry an MT that does NOT have scissors, I ALWAYS carry an Alox scaled Victorinox Executive in one of my pockets..

I used mine today to cut sensitive material into a distinct shape on a product I was working on.. Worked flawlessly..

When it comes to scissors, the Executive packs one heck of a bite despite its small stature..

Cheers,
Serge

Just re-aligned the glass on my woodburner's door, using the large screwdriver on my Wenger Evo14, in lovely translucent blue.

Bit of a job; the screws were really tight - so much so that I thought I was going to bust it at one point.

Cheers!
