I wanted to show a picture of a handy use of the cap crimper.  Here, I'm using it to hold a hanger nail so that I can pound it down without smacking my fingers in the 16 inch space (rafters are 16 on center).

Not with these stout little fellows (the joist hanger nails).  It's those darn skinny ringed nails for sheathing that are the troublemakers. >:(

I would like to point out I've been using pliers and MT's (esp LM Charges) to hold nails in critical situations for years.  This is the first failure. It was a skinny ringed nail that I was holding.

The ALX that had the failure has been used hard for a couple years (maybe even 4 years), cutting a lot of 12 ga and 10 ga copper wire, breaking off knock outs in electric boxes (plastic and metal), removing broken off screws, etc so it's not like they were pristine new pliers heads.
