Christmas party knife fiasco
on: December 19, 2012, 04:59:10 AM
I was at a Christmas party tonight where we did the white elephant thing. The first gift that got opened was taped heavily and all of the sudden everyone that had a knife on them pulled them out almost in unison handing them to the poor soul that was in need that didn't have one. I just thought I'd share this and was wondering; has this happened to anyone else here?

stealth007s I like it when that happens, but it doesn't happen enough. Usually when I pull my knife out people gasp in disbelief that I have a knife.

I put a notice on the board at work offering some of the nearly 20 Classic SDs I have, for sale at $5 a pop. A couple of co workers have bought them but one stupid woman accused me of selling "weapons" and said they were illegal.

 It's a keyring size pocket knife, not a bloody RPG.  Then I made it worse by telling her that it would be quicker to beat her to death with her own oversized pottery coffee mug than stab her with a 3cm long blade.  (actually, 3cm wouldn't even get through her blubber layer)

She's just a radical survivalist - she's EDCing her food reserves in a form (fat) that is both (a) with her her all the time and (b) difficult for other people to take from her .......  :pok:

I just have the mental image of some poor bloke trying to get into his parcel when he suddenly finds himself in a ring of people pointing knives at him.

I does make me smile when I come across others who have a SAK or MT and are willing to lend a hand.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.
