Help, I'm concerned I've broken my Leatherman Surge! [Unsure if right area?]

Hi everyone first time poster here.
I purchased a Leatherman Surge today and brought it home and opened it up and began fiddling. When I came to close it, I noticed it was extremely difficult to close, as if stuck on something, and while it does close, it makes an uncomfortable loud clicking sound when doing so. I've watched a few reviews and when they close theirs, they're nice and quiet. Is mine broken or am I missing a latch of some form to close it nicely?
thanks!

I find this happens on my wave if I don't make sure everything is flush like scissors or screwdriver. The pliers get court on aforementioned on flush item.

Hope this helps

Mine does too, it's the pliers getting stuck between the awl and large flathead on the straight blade/blade exchanger side, just gives the pliers a really small polished area

My Charge Ti is difficult if the pliers are open. The pliers get stuck in the tools in the handle.

You may need to adjust the stops (inside the handles) for the pilar jaws. I raised mine very slightly and this improved the closing action dramatically by preventing the jaws from hitting the other tools.

If it is not right, send it to Leatherman. They will make it right no charge.

It depends on how difficult it is to close.
My suggestion is to take it back to the shop you got it and let them check it out.
They will either show you how to solve the problem or replace it.

Trying to fix it on your own when you are not sure what is wrong may cause damage to its parts

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.
