Currently reading Jordan Ellenberg's How Not to be Wrong: The Power of Mathematical Thinking.
Very nice. I was a mathematician in a former life but wasn't aware of this book. I looked it up on Wikipedia which aroused my interest even more. I searched for a pdf copy on the web -- and found one.

It really is a good read. Makes once appreciate how some of us have overlooked math as a non-essential skill.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare – Churchill’s Mavericks: Plotting Hitler’s Defeat - Giles Milton http://www.historytoday.com/reviews/ministry-ungentlemanly-warfare

Reading through this at the moment, an interesting take on how it came about and how politics nearly stopped it happening.

The surprise for me in the book was finding out that "Wintson Churchill's Toyshop" (The Firs in Whitchurch) is only 5 miles away from where I live now.

Check out the 'Matt Helm' series by Donald Hamilton. The movies stank; the books were excellent.

Well the Mrs got a little gift in the mail, one of her friends, an author, sent her a book she wrote, all of her previous books had been done electronic and all in which the Mrs has read, but this is her first paperback.. I guess that's what happens when your read a lot, you become friends with the author..

Found a copy of On The Beach for fifty cents. I'd forgotten how depressing it is.

I've finished up all the Louis L'Amour books I currently possess, and have started reading Zane Grey.  There's always time for a good western adventure.

*BUMP*
Guess it’s been a while, I’m not really a reader but I want to give something a try, after watching “The League of Extraordinary Gentleman” which I like how they put every ordinary character of their own into a group, but I was a little  over Allen Quartermain, who was played by Sean Connery, I thought his part was great, so I looked him up and it’s a character written by Henry Rider Haggard, and there’s a bunch a novels, so I’m starting of with King Solomon's Mines which is suppose to be a very good book.. they supposedly got the idea of Indiana Jones from these novels, because that’s what he is, an archaeologist and big game hunter that cares more about what’s right and gives back to the community,
