uk legal wingman??
on: January 23, 2013, 01:50:37 AM
I've just replaced the blade on my wingman with the saw off my sidekick, and replaced the w/man can opener with the small serrated blade off the s/kick. Is this now uk legal for EDC???

 ??? ???

Grey area - any legal bod wishing to be an arse would claim the saw locks and is a "blade". That said, I think it would have to be a first rate poo chute to lay that claim on it. Used sensible (in use and location) you shouldn't have a problem with it - unless you look like a real dodgy bugger who'd try and stab someone with a sausage roll if that was the only thing available  :P

Better cover my tattoo's up then!!! esp if i come outta greggs with 4 sausage rolls for £2! LOL, I've done it mainly for when i'm out walking and don't want to have it packed away in my rucksack, i've just take both the flat and philips drivers out and replaced them with the philips off my fuse, saw your collection on another thread, wonderful collection  :tu:

Cheers mate, a lot of it has changed now  :D Some of it has already gone, and I'm trying to find time to get a few more items listed for sale to make room for other stuff I bought since that pic

I think now my wingman is uk legal for everyday carry. I've replaced the main blade with a file, taken the small file off and replaced it with a small serrated blade from a s/kick, and taken a small piece off the flat head driver so the bit adaptor fits. Tried it out on shed door and it's quite strong. Can feel safe now knowing i'm not breaking the law,  :tu:

Thank you, i initialy put a saw blade where the file is, it's such a quick mod to change i've put the wood saw in the back pocket on my pouch if needed.

One off a cheap multi tool i forgot i had, honestly it's easy if you have some small torx bits, literaly took 15 mins, i'll put close up of file on later, not the best but it'll do till i get to shops n buy a better file  :tu:
