My wife just bought me a yellow-scale Swisschamp engraved with my initials from dellasknives

...Money is very tight so this is an awesome gift...

...This is by far not my first Swisschamp, and it will not be my last ...

Does not compute
What I meant is that I have other swisschamps, and will continue to collect them with various scales :salute:

A couple vids. My son joined the club last week.

Thanks for sharing those clips with us.

Happy birthday LiFu.  :tu:  Sweet knife you've got there.   When are you signing up?  :pok:

Tell your son to be careful with that corkscrew, can't be healthy for the SAK when pulling at an angle like that. The corkscrew is off to the side and when you pull upwards on the quite wide Swisschamp, the force isn't centered over the corkscrew tool itself and there's a risk of bending it as far as I can tell!

I gotta start using my Swisschamp. But I have real trouble with using brand new tools, especially tools that are hard to fix if they wear out. I know the blades, scissors and saws can be sharpened. But once the file dulls you're SOL. Same with some of the screwdrivers, fixable to a certain degree, but a couple of good slips on the Phillips head and it is done for. But I have two Swisschamps, so I shouldn't be afraid to just use the darn thing. But it's almost too nice to use, ahh!

Had been after a nice stag handled Barlow for a while. It is really nice but in hand it feels very small.

I have the same thing with stuff that's brand new, but once it gets that dreaded first scratch, it's all good. :)

Happy to join the club on this one. When I saw I could get it last weekend at a great price I could no longer resist {even though I have a Cybertool-41 coming from UK soon}.
The Victorinox clip-on sheath is great even with the Samsung Note 4 on the belt already.

First time poster here. So this will be a bit long

I had a SAK a long time ago (over a decade back), I think it was a wenger (based on my memory of the multitool, esp the can opener) something or other, and I lost it after EDCing it for a few months. Since then, every week, i have been wishing at least once that I had it back. I recently had to live in India for a bit (still here), and this has me wishing more for it, hardware shops are hard to find, I don't have basic things like can or bottle opener etc.

So i decided to, after much deliberation, buy Swisschamp. It was between that and CT41, even though I would've liked the bit set, I really dislike the translucent colouring. And since it is finally here  :mail: , I thought I'd join this club...

Since I am in india, I'm afraid the knife (though brand new) took a bit of wear and tear by the time I got it (from amazon). And as someone mentioned before, the liners are *not* finished well, which looks kinda crappy on a brand new knife. And the steel IS indeed soft, got a few scratches on it whilst just trying to clean it with a regular soft scrubber from kitchen sink (I gave it a bit of a bath...my hands get REALLY oily).

So far...LOVING it.  :climber: It has everything I could want, at least at this time. I even put a long-overdue extra hole in my belt. I ordered a leather pouch for it from amazon.com which will be here next week. At head-fi (a hi-fi/audiophile forum), they have a saying there "welcome to the forums, and sorry about your wallet", I feel like something similar would apply here. I hope the knife will remain with me for a long time to come however.

Pics attached, fresh out of a bath (if you can zoom in enough notice the scratches on the finish of the chisel..where i used a scrubber   :()

Once I am back in the US, my next buy will be one with a bit set, perhaps something small as an addition to the swisschamp or something like the XLT that replaces it...what do you guys think?

I feel like the pruner will be REALLY useful, between peeling oranges and those damned clamshell boxes everything comes in.
OFC, the spatula would likely be a daily used thing, what with needing to mix sugar in my coffee every morning/afternoon/evening at work (they have REALLY poor stirrers at work, most of the time i have my own teeny spoon).

I forgot to post here days ago when as some of you know I received a Swisschamp in a deal from Aloha, then I put yellow plus scales on it.  Anyway I am not back in the club again and hope I will carry and use it.

Just curious but has there every been a SC 30 day challenge?  If so, can someone shoot me the link as I like to read it.

Thx.

If there hasn't been one, perhaps we should make one for October or November, then? If there has been one, I want to read that thread too.  :D
