 :D

OK, these are not the latest and greatest, but if you lot are anything like me you'll still have a soft spot for the little guy.

I've got one of the little LED drop-ins in there but it's still not even nearly in the same league as my other 1xAAA lights, it does still get played with every-so-often though. :)

Don't miss mine at all. Too underpowered.

Replaced mine with a Fenix L0D.

The L0D was what first replaced mine as well.  The L0D does still get used, the solitaire not so much. ;)

A solitaire was on my keychain for a very long time. Though I was unfamiliar with the term or the concept at the time, I had started to EDC an item. A little Vic knife soon joined the Solitaire.

I've got 2.The first one was in a goodie bag when I went to the first post apartheid SA MotoGP. I got the second one last year, and fitted it with the LED conversion....

Needless to say I actually use either a Fenix, one of my Tanks,or my iO3

I have got one around somewhere... it was on a ring with my c1989 Vic Golfer and was my EDC for many many years. So long in fact that the corkscrew of the SAK has worn a series of grooves into the Solitare's body.

I have no idea where it is now, but I know i never threw it out.

I'm involved in community theatre and I use a solitaire specifically for the weak output  :tu: finding my way around in the wings or reading promps on the wall, without worrying about the light being visible to the audience.

That is a good point, sometimes you really need to have very low amounts of light. :)

I sold mine a month or so ago together with some other small lights I had to earn some money for another light... :D My first ever EDC light was the Fenix E01 and the SOlitaire came later, so I guess I were already spoiled by the Fenix and didn't appreciate the Solitaire enough.... :D

Looks like the Solitaire LED has finally hit our shores; http://www.heinnie.com/Solitaire-LED/p--10313/#

At £20 I don't think I'll be getting one, but if I could find one for half that I'd be tempted.

+ shipping. :( Too much.

I see a few of them listed on US eBay at the price it was advertised to be, $14,95 +$5 shipping to Europe. Putts it in the price range of the second link, right? I'll wait to see when they will be available locally. I'd pick one up for $15 for nostalgia, but there are lots of much better flashlights out there for less money.

It comes in handy now & then for low light inspections that don't reflect back & blind you. Other than that the Solitaire is junk IMO.

I can send you one with a Drop in LED at that price. Youz´d mainly cover teh shipping and Driop in, but that´s fine with me. Drop me a PM if you are interested.

I like teh solitaire for it´s slim design and with the LED drop in they are not half bad lights for usual tasks around the house or out in the dark.

Already have the drop in. :D Had it for over two years now. Even did a video on it long time ago.

Maglite Solitaire LED upgrade

But the drop in is cca 10lm or even less. The new LED version claims 37 lumens. Not terribly bright but I'd get it just for the AAA collection. I have a few of those.

Thanks for the offer though. :tu:
