Let's see if yours flickers and behaves awfully, too...
yyyyeah, mine's been very unreliable, so it's not just lying in a box, collecting dust. I turn it on and in a while it turns off, or it doesn't turn on unless shaken.
Thanks for the info So, yours does work flawlessly?

I just went to water the plants, I got a lot of potted plants on the roof terrace, watering them all takes well over 10 minutes. I used the Solitaire to light my way, and I am actually impressed with it! No flickering at all as reported by N_N_R - but a steady light. It does not compare to having the artificial sun of the M3R, but it's emitting more then enough white light to do the task at hand. I doubt I could have done this with the incandescent version? The focus feature seems overrated, and to me this is an on/off light. Turn on to focus point. that's it. It gives around 10 meter throw. What I miss is a clip, so I could attach it to my cap. Maybe I can find a clip that fits? Overall, happy I picked up this light.
I'm almost tempted to join the Solitaire owners club after seeing this.£10 seems like a good price for a Solitaire & Classic.http://www.wildtrak.com/product.asp?id=5280(Image removed from quote.)

Black Classic and black Mag...
It has struck me before that lots of flashaholics are very happy to disparage the weak light given out by the incandescent Solitaire, but then rave about how useful their super-low-moonlight mode is on their latest LED torch.
Added a clip on mine(Image removed from quote.)
