TV - The Walking Dead [SPOILERS!]
on: March 18, 2013, 02:25:36 PM
So seeing as there's only a couple episodes left of this season, and knowing it's going to get crazy as it gets closer to season finale, I'm wondering if I should hold off watching the last few episodes and blitz them all in one sitting. you?

My wife and I watch it together and she's not very good at waiting, so I'll be watching them as they air.

Really?  I am amazed at how stupid these people are.... not fortifying the farm was a dumb move, and I'd have searched out a prison (or similar) a lot sooner.  Additionally, they always seem to locate a bunch of military vehicles, and yet they never take any of them.  I think I'd much rather have a HUMVEE rather than the scrounged cars they keep finding and driving.  The Hummer not only gives better protection but also allows you to drive around (or over) obstructions a hell of a lot easier.

I'd also head for the coast, especially if I was in Georgia.  I don't know how well zombies work in the water, but I'd say in that kind of situation, Cuba is perhaps the absolute best place to go.  With the US embargo to Cuba it would likely be one of the last places infected, it's surrounded by shark infested waters and it's reachable in a reasonable amount of time by virtually any small craft.

They said in one of the earlier seasons that the symptoms of Zombie-ism starts within 3-9 hours, which means that no zombies are likely to make it across a decent expanse of water, so if someone is infected, they aren't going to make it to the other side alive.

Or, failing that, take a shipyard or train yard.  If there's a ship at the yard, float it a few hundred yards offshore and have a safe place to raise the baby, sleep etc.  The worst that can happen is that zombies will climb up the anchor chain, but it's a single point of defense, and relatively easy to deal with.  Plus in a shipyard or rail yard there will be thousands of containers, and while many of them won't have anything of much use to you, many others will, and you can use the empty containers to fortify the chain link fences that usually surround the facility.  Additionally, both will have stockpiles of fuel, generators, small machine shops and so on, all very capable of maintaining and repairing your equipment.

But I suppose I'm not as smart as Rick.... he must have a master plan...  ::)

I'm not reading any replies in this thread in case of spoilers, but I've never been "into" series, so yes, this is actually one of the best I've seen...  :pok:

Well, if you ask me, the Governor is the only intelligent guy on the show, but they had to make him some kind of psychopath so viewers wouldn't realize that he's created a happy, safe environment.

But then, no one asked me, did they?  :D

We love this series and could never wait to watch a bunch of episodes. We try and watch it live, or the next day at the latest.

My wife and I only started watching it a month or so ago.  We watched all the episodes on Netflix one after the other until we caught up with the current ones.

I watched the first two seasons on Netflix, but have been watching season 3 as it airs most times.  My wife won't watch though as she does not like any kind of scary or intense type of shows/movies.

I only got into watching serials since the ability to watch them as I please came about. I would watch a episode here and there of non-serials like comedies and sitcoms, but could never bring myself to invest in a serial because it seemed like I was always busy the nights one aired when I did

I don't usually sit down and blitz a series all at once, but usually 4-5 episodes a night for a week or so.

Just a few more days for me to wait and get Season 3.....then it's a year long wait until next March  ???

Just had to throw this up, I am a huge fan but this is too funny not to.
