This is just getting too easy. I saw Baja's skeletor (Juice sans blades or outside tools) and I wanted to make my own! I took some of the scales I saved from a couple of bunk S2's and cobbled this together.

As the title suggests, it is TSA/CBSA (Canadian Border Services Agency) safe and also child sharp safe (somewhat, those drivers are sharp!). I also wanted to blunt nose a Juice and see if it was useful.

I recently found my 6" cut off saw which made this mod fairly easy. The majority of the tip was cut off and then I put it on the mill to get the tip perfectly flat. I then did some chamfering on the sides of the new flat tip.

Here is the resulting blunt nose:

Compared to the Slim Jim's normal plier head

Since I couldn't save the other scales, I took a pair of flame orange and a pair of storm grey aluminum scales and applied them the handles.

With only the middle plier and inside tool chassis, the whole thing from pivot head to pivot head is only 3/8 thick.

With only the inside tools, you'd think this tool is limited in use...

Think again! LM BIT ADAPTER ASSEMBLE!

I like that a lot :tu:

The Juice line has lot of things I don't like about it, but when you strip it down to useful parts it's a whole other beast. Now I don't know what I would personally use blunt nose pliers for, but I like the look of them! :D

That would pair up really nicely with a SAK.

I don't plan on leaving them in here, but I figure it was as good as any project to show that it cam be done. You know me...making the impossible work!

Does blunting the pliers add much potential room inside for longer tools? Is this something you'd even consider?

I've also wondered about the simple physics of shorter plier heads, seems they ought to increase the leverage the tool could achieve at the plier tip. I'm not a super fan of the blunt tips, but if they were still that short but came to a smaller point, I could see some potential.

Not really. There aren't many tools that would fit. Due to the small diameter pivot, there aren't a lot of tools that would fit out of the box.

What does 'out of the box' have to do with anything? You have a... thingy, that... makes holes different. Right?

Sorry if I lost you with all that technobabble.

Ah the combobulator.

It's that most tools have much larger pivots holes. Even the most novice of makers know it's easier to remove material than it is to put it back.

I like it. It needs a pocket clip, though, Metro  ;)

this is entirely true.

Normally, not a Juice fan, but as a knifeless multi I think I like this.

That is a very nice juice! I love the two different colored scales. And writing ASSEMBLE after something worked very well in this case.

Love this mod  :tu: I've long thought there should be more options of knifeless multitools. An ultra slim folding plier like this paired with a SAK would be a fantastic EDC.
