Having read the books I knew Jon Snow was getting the sword, but I hoped he didn't in the shows... oh well.  Maybe he will come back as king of the white walkers...

In an interview with the American entertainment magazine, Variety,Nutter set the record straight saying: “I can say emphatically that Jon Snow is definitely dead.

“Kit Harington is just a great guy and Kit was sad to leave the crew. It’s an emotional feeling as well. But I felt it was important to set up the sequence as quickly as possible so you didn’t expect it or wait for it. I didn’t want it to linger. I wanted it to catch you by surprise.

“My concern was to take care of Jon Snow, and he's now deader than dead.”

Winter will finally arrive but due to global warming it will become spring the following day.

John Snow will survive only to be beaten to death by Negan.

57 other random characters will be introduced during the first few episodes that you will never see again until the next season, where they will likely die.
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.
