A few Leathermans and a SOG
on: April 13, 2013, 10:46:07 PM
Here are a few pics of the MTs I've accumulated over the years. I don't really "collect", these are just ones I like.

LM PST, Mini Tool, 20th Anniversary Wave.

New in the box SOG Paratool. I bought this one years ago and never used it.

Nice choice in tools Jailbird

I'd have to use that paratool.

I've never seen it in the sheath. Looks slick.

Those are indeed nice ones Jailbird, thanks for sharing! :tu:

Yeah, that Blackie Collins sheath wasn't around for very long. It is a pretty cool design. 8)

And speaking of cool designs and Blackie Collins, it is interesting to note that while SOG founder and president Spencer Frazier gets credit for the Paratool design back in 1993, if you go back a couple of years earlier, you can find a 1991 design by Blackie that probably helped provide the inspiration. ;)

Thanks for all of the compliments! David, if I had to pic a favorite, I think it'd be the MiniTool. By chance, does anyone know if I send in the PST will they repair the loose pliers? I don't want the tool replaced with a current model, and I don't want to waste the postage.

Thanks.

-Brian

Might be best to contact them about that ahead of time JB. :salute: My guess is that they will be able to help you, but best to be sure.

Necro action:
I sent in a Mini (which seems to have the exact same plier head as the PST) and they replaced just the plier head. This was about 3 months ago, so I'd guess they have plenty of parts still.
Mark it "Sentimental Value----do not exchange for a current model" and you should be fine.
