First World problems
on: July 07, 2013, 01:14:33 AM
Many of us have seen the "first world problems" internet meme. If you haven't, it depicts a generally modern and not serious problem on two separate lines against the background of a crying women. So I thought I'd start a thread for it. Every time you have a "first world problem" (regardless of if you are in a first world country or not) post it in this thread. I'll start:

I regularly drink Dr. Pepper

But it gives me a stomach ache

I have more than a dozen can openers.

And I haven't encountered a traditional can to use them for the last dozen years.

I laugh at these all the time.  For example, my boss complained on FB the other day that the weather was so nice that his wife took the Jeep to work so she could enjoy riding around with no doors or roof, leaving him stuck with only the Jag to drive around in.   :ahhh

My wife and I actually argued last night about whether to go to Marble Slab Creamery, Coldstone Creamery or Dairy Queen for an ice cream treat.   :ahhh

a cousin of mine was worried how his wife (who doesn't work) would cope with their 6 yearold twin girls while their 'cleaning lady' was away skiing for a fortnight, and to add to the problem the lady who does the 'Ironing' was in hospital unexpectedly :sa:
I relayed the story of woe to my 'better half' and told her "you didn't know how hard some folks have it !"
I CANNOT post her response on a family friendly forum

I'm having to wash dishes by hand after each meal since my dishwasher broke and I have yet to get around to ordering a new one.

Just last night, my hubby calls from the bathroom, sounding distraught. He'd purchased new soap, but forgot to put a bar in the shower before he got in. So, I can relate with the above. :D

Heard so far this year from the manchildren I work with:

My hot water heater is broken so I had to take a cold shower.

I got a speeding ticket.

I can't decide if I want the beef or the shrimp.

My DVR will only record one show while I watch the other one I like so I missed the playoffs.

My AC is too cold.

My heater is too warm.

The traffic was horrible, I had to pull over three times to let fire trucks go by. (this last I heard this morning from a coworker. Took a lot of restraint to to not tear their head off)

I just caught myself complaining about a first world problem!

Whoey and I are taking about tablets mounted in a car and I told him he was lucky he didn't have a sunroof.  I said that on bright days when I have the top off and I'm wearing sunglasses I can't see the GPS screen....
