Hey Mike

yes I used the Spyderco 701 medium / fine sharpening ceramic stones and a little water. Followed by a quick stroping on a leather belt.

The saw seen its first use on some branches that were in the way of a home moving in.

I got to say its one of the best in a multi I've used.

I also used the pliers to tighten some bolts holding a rear view mirror but I didn't have time to get a pic.

Hey Joel,
I am surprised you used water with the 701's.  The OHT looks interesting but the part of missing a file kinda sucks! :)
Keep working it hard and reporting back so we can see how it holds up! :D

I'm working on a trade for a sak with the file and scissors missing from the OHT.

I don't want to screw up my own topic buy adding another tool but if the tool can only do jobs the O.H.T. Can't I don't see how it can change my topic much.

I need my file and scissors.

So how you gonna open a sak one handed?  :D

You should have just used a Wave or Charge AL for all the tools needed. :D

if I had my way I'd still be carrying my standard swisstool most days.

I was trying to think ahead a little.

I like using the oht I just know I'll miss the other tools sooner or later.

I got a rambler on my keys if I need a little scissors. Your old rambler as a matter of fact just its gotten dressed up in black scales now    .

I thought I had a trade worked out on a trail guide but I'm pretty sure it fell through on me.

I was looking for a Mountaineer or Mountaineer lite but a guy hit me up with a trail guide.

its a yeoman with a metal file.

it would have been nice thin pocket carry.

o well

I got to give the the 154cm wire cutters some use this afternoon.

they work on both the thick wire fence I was fixing and the thin wire I used to hold them before I got it bolted together.

the wire fence was some hard stuff to cut but the oht could handle it and was not damaged any.

It's too bad the trade deal fell through.  My Yeochamp is the same thing, with the fish scaler added.  I wasn't aware there was a trail guide model.  So I guess mine could be thought of as a trail guide plus fish scaler.

Woo-Hoo! Love the wire cutting pics! We call that heavier wire 'bull-wire' over here. When i go out specifically to fix our fences i will carry a pair of snips made for that job. BUT as you know when your just out and find you NEED to cut wire ill use my Leatherman which has always got the job done. What about the screwdrivers? Are they as short as people make out? Oh and glad to see you havent had to disarm a bomb yet!  ;)

Thanks farrierphil.

no bomb disposal pics yet. I should keep my eyes open for
I.E.D.'s under some of the houses i end up working on

seriously though I think the oht has such great wire cutters not only because of the 154cm replaceable blades that seem to cut so well but more importantly the handle shape, size and how comfortable they are to grip really hard on.

now about the drivers.

I don't think there so bad. The flat head is a bit short but the Phillips is about average.

I just used the serrated blade for the first time cutting some twigs off a branch and the plane edge blade to make marshmallow roasting sticks.

I'm going to have to find something thick to cut that might be more of a challenge.

the oht serrated blade cut through the small branches like butter.

sorry no pics its to dark :P
