New Knife

Well look what turned up this morning (well i had to go fetch it due to the rubbish postal service!)

Mike very kindly sold me this little forged knife that he posted a pic of the other day. It's made from and I quote (cos otherwise i wouldn't have a clue!) "W1 triple tempered, forged finished carbon steel" All i know is that it looks cool and fits in my hand really well, now onto the pics

And after a quick wrap of paracord (which makes it a lot comfier to hold)

I'm not happy with my pics at the moment, at least my indoor ones, just don't seem to be as good as they once were (but we are own worse critic or something like) Need to dig my lightbox out again me thinks, but anyway here's another pic to show scale.

It is isn't it Small knives really appeal to me for some reason, and this one is great a little "craft" sort of knife.

Is it made from a file? W1 sounds like it.

I'd say so, it still has some file markings down it's spine, will get some pics of it after i've finished my tea

Yep it was made from an old file, but I'm buggered if I can remember the manufacturer though

That sir is a right propper patch knife. I would certainly look at having a neck sheath made for it!

I've been thinking about a sheath for it, would be nice so i can carry it around a bit more safely! Also it would sit in my Peli 1020 perfectly with a nice little sheath. Anyone know where to get Kydex in the UK?

Apparently it's a piece of yellow stuff, but I've never done it so I don't know

It looks great with the paracord.  It finishes it off nicely!
