I'm curious about this show, and how they explain Coulson's return.  I've really enjoyed the Marvel movies so far :tu:

I thought it was supposed to be set before the Avengers movie and that he's not so much "back" as "hasn't been killed yet."

I don't think anyone has died and stayed dead in the Marvel'verse other than some folks in Stamford.

And yes, I'm watching this.

And when I saw the first trailer and Coulson NOT dead, my roommate came to see what the screaming was about. He was outside. In the garage. With the radio and powertools running. In ten years of being around eachother, don't think he's heard me be that loud.

Nope he really isn't dead according to the trailer. Basically a guy goes "I'm clearance lvl 6 and I thought Coulson was killed", then Coulson walks out say "welcome to lvl 7".

I watched it tonight.  Not bad IMO.  I plan on trying to keep up with it.  We'll see how well that goes.  I think the wife liked it too though, so that will make it easier to see each week.  One problem is it's on during our baby girl's "witching hour" so to speak, when she's not happy and we're trying to put her down for the night.  Anyway, I really enjoyed the show, and I'm curious as to the specifics of Coulson's "resurrection".

My wife and I watched it earlier.  Not bad so far.  I was hoping it wouldn't be Beverly Hills 90210 with super powers like Mutant X, Smallville or Arrow.

A TV show about superheroes is too expensive for TV, so with “Agents of Shield” you get a show about normal people who are tangentially affiliated with superheroes. That premise is hard to get excited about.

After watching it, none of the characters are engaging, except Coulson.  None of the actors can really act, except the guy who plays Coulson.

I wonder if Coulson will be kept on the show as a regular, occasionally as a recurring character or is simply there for the first few episodes to launch the series, then disappear.

I rated it good enough to give it another few episodes to hook me. Which means I ranked it pretty high.

Coulson, as I understand, IS the main character.

Also... best reaction to Coulson's death... EVER! NO, I repeat, NO overacting here... :D

Considering it's now the last season of HIMYM, she should be freed up to carry on regularly.

Thats like saying that a Leatherman is a replacement for a $3 generic multitool that doesn't even have a country of origion stamp on it.

I see promise. Could the acting have been better? Yep. Ditto Dollhouse and Buffy.

I just really hope that Coulson isn't an LMD. I hate LMDs. One of the worst ideas ever in Marvel, and I've stopped reading becuase it's nothing but a long string of bad ideas right now.

As usual, I will wait until season 2 before "investing"-time into a TV-show. You never know how long it lasts. And I anyway prefer to watch TV-shows from DVD, less commercial-breaks.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

That would be very good as she is one of the main links to the movies, at least character vise and that could help the series
