I'm very disappointed in the second episode.

For a highly trained elite organization they have been acting like rank amateurs and leaving themselves wide open.  Supposedly intelligent people making stupid choices for the same of adding drama is a sign off poor writing.

Just hollywood being themselves. I've seen quite a few shows where supposedly elite Marine guys act like (or worse) than random guys in your local paintball game, and the plot development depends on it.

Problem is they aren't superheroes so pitting them against supervillains would devalue the actual heroes (Hollywood logic), so they have to go against regular people or other super spies. And not many writers can make that believable

SHIELD agents have always fought super villains.  It's what they were for. Just one is like to see a site about an elite force that actually is an elite force.  The kind that sucks up personal issues and makes intelligent decisions.

I suppose that wouldn't make for good TV, at least according to the masses.  O guess this is another site I'll cross of my watch list.

Oh dear, this doesn't sound good.  I'll still watch episode two for myself but I'm not going to expect too much.

I don't expect a whole lot... especially when you compare to the pretty much whole season of "people sitting on a farm talking/arguing with crickets in the background" (The Walking Dead) that dragged on for damn near forever...

Interesting (warning, does contain spoilers for EP 3):

I disagree with that site.  I think it's awful for a whole different set of reasons.  I'll post them when I'm near a keyboard.

Been watching it, too. It's a bit poo, really.  Bit of a fail, in my book.

Never mind, The Big Bang Theory is back soon and Sons of Anarchy.

like many series, I expect it to suck just enough for them to cancel it, at which point the remaining EPs will be excellent... as is the usual routine with this type of show...

This season has a lot more Whedon and a lot more action plus the characters are better, the acting is better... I really hope they can keep it up.

Supposedly, Marvel is going to launch the Civil War story arc for the movies on SHIELD too.
