Pup tent's
« on: May 08, 2008, 08:24:06 PM »
Has anyone slept in a pup tent ???

I've slept under plenty of poncho's, tarps and tent's, but never a pup tent. How comfortable are they to use in warmish weather ???

Thanks in advance guys :)

Yup i have :) They're pretty good, can be a bit drafty (which is good in warm, not in cold weather!!) Not used them in warm weather though so i can't comment on that :( But it was fairly warm with 2 of us in it in Scotland (around March/April time)

Nope not me.  :)  Whenever I've been camping I've been drunk anyway so I'd sleep anywhere.  :D

Well I'm thinking of using one for the meet, as I doubt I'm going to be able to afford a tent between now and july, so if either you or Ben could get yourselfs a 58 pattern poncho, we could make one :)

It's an army issue poncho as far as i'm aware, one size fits all. They come undone and you can stick more than one together to make a shelter :)

I aim to please :D

As for him being a Mod, I actually voted against it, as I liked being baby mod :D, sadly no one informed me of the second 'secret' ballot and he scraped through ::), though oddly all the other mod's maintain that they voted against as well , so my guess is he's got some dirt on Def :D
