I suppose mine would be the Diesel I got recently. There's a few things I shouldn't like about it such as being inboard and having a 2D(ish) Phillips, but I do actually quite like it despite there been nothing particular to set it apart from other tools.

The only real downer I've found is the bead blast finish, which is trying to rust already and is something I'll need to keep an eye on

Lime Green Gerber MP600 (and the finish looks to be the same as on my orange and Red MP600s, so possibly an "employee custom job" that escaped ? )

Sorry, before you ask - no  can do photos  :(

That's a good looking pinchy Cap, how are you liking it?

My latest is my Recoil auto-plier.  A fantastically fun MT that I got from Al.

The Pliers (sliding) is a bit tight. There is no possible way to flick the Pliers out and the wire cutters are very slightly damaged causing a slight catch when using the Pliers, but even with that i'm absolutely loving it. Great feeling tool. Feels well built. Wish the new MP's where like this one. I'm not hating on the new MP's though. Still a good tool, but they need to drop that sad excuse for a blade.

That's not unfair I'd say Cap.  Both the older Leathermans and Gerbers just feel a little higher quality that their modern counterparts IMO.

Do you happen to know what size (Allen i'm assuming) fits the screws that slide with the Pliers? Looks like two different sizes. I tried all he bits I have and none of them fit. Maybe some sort of special size?

No idea, sorry.  AHB might know, he's got quite a few.  Might sound silly but have you tried metric keys?

Sounds silly for a American made tool, but I wouldn't be surprised if they used them.

and no I have not tried any Metric bits.

I have one more surprise coming.  But yes I am dabbling in the MP game. I owned a few in the past but they were all MP600's that where newer. Im really liking the older ones.

I need to find the page for the different variants and all the info on it.

here ya go capt.  i have found the MP are like the PSTs where some variations don't quite fit neatly within the versions.  i have made it no secret i love Mr Pinchy and glad to see another digging them as well.

i have a brand new in box with papers and even the protective warning sticker still on this early guy.  it is flipping beautiful and i quickly noticed the single handle cutout.  i thought this was a 1st production run so i peeked a bit under the sticker and no marking stating as such. it is different than my version one in a few ways like handle thickness and the cut out on the handle.  it wont peel the sticker as im afraid it wont stick back on .  my little Mr Pinchy collection is growing nicely.

HEEEEEEYYYYY you are right there aren't any pictures  :pok: MODS what happened? i look forward to see what you have on the way CAPT.

Thanks Gareth these are just as addicting as the PSTs

@CLMF if you have to ask its hard to explain but suffice to say these are to me like PSTs.  they are so slick to open and the simplicity of the tool is great.  you can field service them very easily and the only part that you have to be cautious of is a little spring.
