In memory of my mother's cousin Dominick.  Dom worked for Grumman and Northrop Grumman for over 40 years.  He always called this his "baby bird", the first project he ever worked on for the company.

Did random missions with the kids today. Spent a couple hours looking at planes. Was a lot of fun.   :tu:

Aermacchi 326?

I think it was the 339CB, our version of the 326.

They replaced the 326 in production. I never knew the RNZAF flew them, very cool!

My recent holiday involved a sea plane flight, probably the most relaxed pilots I've ever seen!

Because we weren't very high the views were nice.

Biggin Hill was a famous fighter station that played a major role in the Battle of Britain and, despite repeated attacks, remained operational throughout. On November 2nd, 1939, a squadron from Biggin Hill shot down the first enemy aircraft of WW2, a Dornier Do17. It is now an international airport and home to several warbirds owned and operated by the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar, based at the airport.

I’ve been working near these for the past couple of days, interesting and poignant

You can actually fly in a Spitfire  :ahhh
