I am concern about the file, not the saw.

Does anyone know if Leatherman is making replacement saw/file (the ones with a hole in handle) for the new Surge?
I can't find it anywhere.

LM's web site states the old style saw/file is good for both version of Surge.
Clarification: Leatherman DO make and sell saw/file set for the NEW Surge on their website.
But the photo on their site is not yet updated.

G'day fella's, I'm not an owner of a surge but I am seriously considering getting one, obviously the new model but I just can't quite get over the line and purchase one.

I'm sure I've read just about every surge customer review on leatherman's website to help convince myself.

I currently edc a wave and love it to bits but looking at the surge for work purposes. Can't decide. Ahhh.

Welcome to the Trade Forums.  In order to keep things fair for everyone, we have a few rules that we ask everyone to adhere to:

1- Please post a price, even in trades.  People will have a better idea of how interested they are in your item or what to offer you if they have a reference point.

2- Please mark something sold when it is sold.  This will keep you from being continually harassed with offers after the item is gone.

3- No dealers please.  Dealers can contact me at info@multitool.org for options available for them.

These rules are subject to interpretation by the Moderator staff here at Multitool.org, and the decidion of any Moderator will be considered final.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at info@multitool.org.  Failure to follow these rules when posting here could result in deletion of the post and/or further action to be taken.

Thanks for your co-operation and good luck selling!

Haha yeah I was wondering if anyone would say that. I only post if it's worth it.

I'm a sparky by trade and work in a manufacturing / industrial environment. Not looking at any other multitool. I'm a huge fan of the waves OHO and so naturally looking at the surge.

Do I get free cookies with a surge? That's a deal maker right there.

Yes, Surge comes with cookies.  :pok:

Have you seen the OHT? I've been considering getting one of those.

Yeah I have looked at the OHT and while it's neat I see it more as a speSmurfpillsed MT and I need something with a more array of tools.

Honestly what's putting me off the surge is hearing that it's big and heavy, I really need to see it in the flesh before I can commit.

Anyone that carries a surge daily I'm curious and would love to hear why you chose it over other MT's.

I love my Surge. I like because it has OH blades, uses bits, replaceable wire cutters, has an awl. Because of its size, the wire cutters will damn near cut anything. Feels very good in the hand, no matter how you are using it.
Just my take on it.

I carry a Surge AND a Crunch, plus a whole bunch of accessories all on my right hip without even noticing it's there, but I'm a mutant. Some people probably would notice the weight, but I don't.
