Nice ones but I preferred the look of those interesting acrylic scales. :D

No requests for those anymore?

Sadly no, acrylic is fun but people get put off once I tell them that although acrylic is very beautiful and gets an insanely high polish, it's prone to scratches. I have some more acrylic left in case you want something, I also have a block of some swirly green acrylic coming next month or so :) I'm hoping I can order a large batch of materials at the end of this month, but everything I get from Brisa.fi always gets customs/tax charges, they never lower the value on the customs declaration

Thanks for the offer but I'm currently perfectly content in the SAK department. I have all the models I wished for and in the scales I prefer.

I always like to window shop though and look at some nice scale mods.

Hey MWDP,
Beautiful and amazing wood.
Where on earth (literally!) do you get it all from - In terms of supplier and country.
I have never even heard of most of the wood you use, never mind seen it!
Presumably all the wood you use is natural and not stained in anyway - Just sanded and polished?

Keep up the good work  8)
Lovin' it  :)

Thanks for the kind words :) All of these came from ebay, there are lots of vendors selling exotic blanks, sometimes for very reasonable prices. And since I do SAKs, I can get several scales done with a small amount of wood. The problem is the cutting, as I have to cut them into 3-4mm thick slabs, but I have a friend who takes care of that. I don't stain any of the woods I use, they are simply covered with linseed oil to enrich the texture and that's about it
